Salt Cave Climatherapy

I suffered from rhinitis for over 2 years pronounced by a specialist as ‘incurable’. It was making my life a misery. I can remember the frustration I felt when one doctor told me to ‘just deal with it’. These very words made me even more determined to find a cure.  At only the age of 26 it was effecting my work, my social life and my relationship. I had tried everything from allergy tests, acupuncture, steroid sprays and countless antibiotics. Anyone suffering from Rhinitis or Sinusitis can understand the high cost in trying to treat it.

On 15th December 2009 the Irish Times published a story about the Salt Cave Climatherapy Clinic, Ireland’s first salt treatment facility which opened in Maynooth. What perhaps makes this Salt Cave stand out from any other treatment I had tried  before was the fact that the first trial was for free and the staff were interested in helping you. The room is relaxing. It is a place where when you are feeling miserable you can go to chill and distress while at the same time you know it is improving your health. There is no visible salt: no salt on the walls, no salt on the floor — no salt anywhere to be seen actually. It is just like any other relaxation room which is the beauty of the clinic.

The salt has so many benefits and it has helped me to overcome my Rhinitis. After 10 sessions I was well on my way to a new healthy life. I would and have recommended the salt cave clinic to anyone who is suffering from similar illnesses. It is a powerful natural remedy and what is important is that the clinic genuinely cares about its clients health. I am so grateful to have found it and I would highly recommend it to all ages groups.
