Salt Cave Climatherapy

At the age of 2 and a half Vicky was diagnosed with asthma. The main problem with her was a constant cough keeping her awake for nights on end and therefore totally exhausting her.  She completed a course of twenty sessions in total in Salt Cave in Maynooth. Almost 6 months on and Vicky is in great health. She has not needed an antibiotic or steroid, she’s sleeping properly, going to school every day and is enjoying what every child is entitled to enjoy, playing. It has completely changed Vicky’s life.

For as long as I can remember I have suffered from Asthma, from a young age asthma has taken over my life. I have been out of school numerous of occasions due to my Asthma. I have tried lots of medication and different steroids. It has also stopped me from playing sports such as hurling, soccer and dancing.
I have tried many different therapies like reflexology and acupuncture, they only worked for a short time and then I was back to square one again!

When I heard about the Salt Caves in Maynooth my father said it would never work, but we decided to give it a try anyway. I took 4 sessions a week for 5 weeks. After my third trip I noticed that I was beginning to improve. When I reached my last session I felt fantastic, I noticed I wasn’t up late at night with breathing problems. It has really changed my life since I finished my treatment I have joined the camogie club and I am back dancing again. It feels fantastic to be involved with a team-sport especially when I don’t have to worry about my asthma. I would definitely recommend the Salt Caves to anybody who is suffering from what I used to suffer from.
